Volunteer Opportunity – Help Seniors Stay Steady!
The Harvey County Department on Aging is seeking volunteers (55+) to co-coach A Matter of Balance (AMOB), an evidence-based program designed to help older adults prevent falls, reduce fear of falling, and stay active.
About the Program:
✔ Small group setting: 8–12 participants
✔ Eight sessions: Each class lasts two hours
✔ Engaging format: Includes discussions, problem-solving, role-playing, exercises, and home safety evaluations
✔ Supportive coaching: You’ll always co-lead with another trained and certified coach

✅ Home safety & fall prevention strategies
✅ Overcoming barriers to staying active
✅ Building confidence & reducing fear of falling
