Who We Are
We are United Way of Harvey and Marion Counties, a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to building pathways for upward mobility and resilience. Rooted in the heart of Kansas, we unite people, partners, and resources to tackle our communities’ most pressing challenges—whether that’s access to childcare, housing, food, health, or disaster support.
Our work is guided by collaboration. We believe no single organization can solve these challenges alone. By bringing together nonprofits, businesses, government, and neighbors, we strengthen the fabric of our communities and create networks of support where every family can thrive.
What We Do
We connect people to solutions and communities to opportunities.
- Youth Opportunity – Supporting childcare, early learning, and programs that give young people a strong start and brighter future.
- Healthy Community – Advancing wellness and food access through coalitions, farmers markets, and local health initiatives.
- Financial Security – Providing resource navigation, safe banking access, and tools to help families move from surviving to thriving.
- Community Resiliency – Mobilizing volunteers, coordinating disaster response, and building networks that help communities prepare for and recover from crises.
Through grants, partnerships, and on-the-ground programs, we don’t just respond to immediate needs—we work to break down barriers and create lasting change.
