As a man, you would work with other men, who are going to be dads soon or have small children. In the mentor role, you have the privilege to be the main point of ongoing connection for clients at Hope Women's Center. You would be matched with 1-3 clients, depending on your availability. This would require you to engage with clients weekly either online or in person. You will meet with your clients to discuss what is going on in their lives while facilitating lessons on a variety of topics. These lessons range from prenatal development to healthy personal boundaries, making each appointment no longer than one hour in length. Training will be provided before meeting with clients.

Store-to-Door Shopper (Groceries)

We need volunteers to sort donations, sort clothing, steam clothing, and hang on racks.

A mentor volunteer with Later@ThePorch is someone who enjoys hanging out with middle school grade students. This person needs to be engaging, caring, and willing to work in a loud but fun environment! 

When you volunteer with us, you will get the opportunity to play games with students such as air hockey, ping pong, video games, and board games. We genuinely get to just hang out with a bunch of fun 5th and 6th graders. 

Light Maintenance duties.  Monthly check of emergency lights, monthly check of furnace filters.  Carrying items to and from the basement.  Occasional set up of tables and chairs for events.
