Who We Are
Parents as Teachers (PAT) is an international early childhood program. The program is designed to enhance child development through parent education accessible at no cost to families during the early years of development. The Harvey County PAT program is a part of the early childhood programs at Cooper Early Education Center. The program works with families who have young children prenatally to school entry, providing personalized visits, group connections, developmental screenings and resource networking.
What We Do
Parent Educators partner with you to look at your child’s development and talk about parenting challenges as they arise. During personal visits we provide evidence-based information from the national Parents as Teachers curriculum along with local resource connections and fun activities based on your child’s age to help them grow and learn. Regular screenings will give a standardized look at each child’s development. Group connections are offered each month and provide a variety of opportunities and experiences for your family. Groups give you a chance to socialize and connect with other families in your community, as well as watch your children interact with other kids their age.
